Philippe Ducrot is French
trained, with almost 25 years experience as a chef. He has worked in
the fine restaurants of Paris, including the exclusive Polo Club of
Paris, which has served Europe’s elite for over 200 years.
But his love of cooking, and the education of his palate, began
early. It was in his mother’s kitchen that he first enjoyed and
learned the flavors of his native Provence. His mother, a talented
cook in her own right, taught him the regional cuisine of the south
of France, and introduced him to Meridionale cuisine, which combines
the flavors of France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and North Africa.
Philippe then began his formal education at 16 and went on to
earn basic and advanced degrees in the French culinary arts. After
working 20 years in Paris, he was invited to work in the US and has
successfully headed several restaurants in the US and Canada.
Philippe is known for using uncommon combinations of ingredients to
create unique harmonies of flavors – and happy surprises to delight
his diners.
Philippe’s romance with cuisine continues: he creates elegant &
memorable “fine dining experiences” in client homes, making each
dish a visual and gourmet pleasure.
Currently, Philippe is also writing a cookbook to share some of
his favorite recipes from his lifelong romance with cooking, so
watch for it during the next year.
